This guiding principle defines the mission of AKI’s Skill Development Institutes, which operate in Mumbai, Pune, Goregaon, and Mahabaleshwar. We offer a range of 20 government-recognized diploma courses and 4 degree programs in Pune, specializing in Bachelor of Vocational Courses.

Our diverse programs, available to students after completing their HSC (twelfth standard), include Preschool teacher training, DTP, CAD, travel and tourism, AC and refrigeration repair, and various paramedical courses such as physiotherapy, dietetics, medical lab technology, and dialysis technician training. Additionally, we offer courses in foreign languages like German and French at our Pune institute, alongside technical programs such as electrician training and air travel management.

1. Yasmin Manihar- A Physiotherapist.

Yasmin Manihar faced immense challenges when her father, a daily wage laborer, lost his job during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2019. Despite the financial struggles, she remained determined to support her family and pursue her education. She enrolled in a physiotherapy course at AKI and soon secured a part-time job at a hospital in Ghatkopar. This not only provided financial stability but allowed her to continue her studies. Today, Yasmin is a successful physiotherapist, pursuing her degree at Shanghai University, proving that courage and perseverance can overcome any obstacle.

1. Bilal Ansari’s Healthcare Journey

Bilal Ansari, raised in Mumbai, faced many hardships. His father worked at a Deeniyat center, and after completing his SSC, Bilal pursued a Diploma in Dialysis Technology at AKI. This course ignited his passion for patient care, and he now works at Khidmat Dialysis Center, caring for underprivileged patients. Zainab Nadeem, with degrees in Chemistry and Biology, sought to build a meaningful career. She enrolled in a Diploma in Physiotherapy at AKI, which became pivotal to her success. Zainab believes, “Girls should be masters of their own lives,” and she is living proof of that. 1. Furqan’s Multifaceted Career in Physiotherapy

Furqan’s journey in healthcare is a testament to his dedication and continuous learning. Inspired by his father, a medical representative, he pursued a Diploma in Physiotherapy from Anjuman Khairul Islam in 2022. Furqan’s passion for the field led him to earn multiple advanced qualifications, including Acupuncture, Chiropractic, and Hijama Therapy. He also holds certifications in Dry Needling, Sports Injury, and more. In 2023, Furqan was selected as an Assistant Sports Physio for the Navi Mumbai Premier League, gaining valuable experience in critical care. Danish, raised in a middle-class family with his father as a driver, was driven by a passion for healthcare. After completing his SSC, he pursued a Diploma in Dialysis at AKI, where he gained essential skills and deepened his commitment to patient care. Today, Danish works in Quality Kidney Care at Habib Hospital, Kurla, providing compassionate care to patients in need. 1. Numan Salim Patel’s German Language Achievement

Numan Salim Patel, a SY BBA student, successfully completed a government-certified German language course at AKI's Skill Development Institute, Pune, achieving distinction. Initially finding the language challenging, Numan’s journey became smoother and more enjoyable due to the guidance of a supportive teacher. Mastering German has significantly boosted Numan’s confidence and provided a competitive edge for the job market. Alisha R. Sayyed, a student of the Preschool Teachers Training Course at AKI’s Skill Development Centre, successfully completed her one-year, government-recognized course with support from the Khalid & Zeyna Ansari Charitable Foundation. Coming from a humble background, Alisha was determined to advance her education despite challenges. Throughout the course, she learned valuable teaching aids and practical methods to develop essential skills in young children. Alisha’s training also improved her confidence and English language skills. Although her final results are pending, she has already secured a job at a reputable school, allowing her to pursue further studies. Alisha expresses deep gratitude for the support that empowered her towards a fulfilling career.

1. Arshaan Shaikh’s AC & Refrigeration Course.

Arshaan Shaikh, a graduate of AKI’s AC & Refrigeration course, completed the program with first-class distinction. The practical knowledge and hands-on experience gained during the course enabled him to secure a job at Panasonic Service Centre. Raised by a single parent, Arshaan is particularly grateful to the Khalid & Zeyna Ansari Charitable Foundation for financial assistance, which made his education possible. With his new skills, Arshaan is now financially independent and able to support his mother. He credits the institute and its guidance for paving the way to a brighter and more self-sufficient future.

1. Nazir Shaikh’s AC & Refrigeration Career Path

Nazir Shaikh, a student of AKI’s AC & Refrigeration Course, completed the six-month, government-recognized program in February 2024, securing first-class honors. The course offered extensive practical training and valuable industry exposure through visits to service stations of AC & Refrigeration companies. These experiences provided Nazir with a real-world understanding of the skills learned in class. Upon completion, Nazir secured a position at Blue Star Service Centre and is simultaneously pursuing his graduation at Poona College to enhance his academic profile.
